Default Confused For new Car Ideas.

Hey guys.

I have my heart set on a EF XR6 Sedan. And after driving a couple its just made me want one more. But here is the thing. The back seat only really gets used twice a year. I have a back passenger probably 3-4 times a year. Back seats never get used? So i could get a ute. Could put junk in the back blah blah blah. Selling my dirtbike so i dont need one that much anymore all though i am looking at buying a road bike. So maybe a ute? Im just really confused. What do you guys think. Feel free to ask me more questions about what i do in life if you need to, to give me an answer.

Thanks!

If your thinking of a ute from the same era keep in mind that the XG/XH were based a design in 1979 that had some new technology pumped in it. I'd go the sedan route- you can always buy a cheap trailer for your bikes!

If you have your heart set on sedan then get one, otherwise every time you drive past a EF XR6 sedan in your favorite color deep down you will think i wish i had that. And then a angel will die. :

But seriously if you have your heart set on the sedan then get it otherwise you will always regret it. I know i would have saved myself about $8 grand if i hadn't bought a N/A XR6 then traded it 18 months later on the XR6 Turbo i knew i wanted the whole time.

Utes are cool, but where do you put your grocery shopping? and if your tall theres not enough room, and the front suspension is from the 70's. I bought a ute coz I liked them, but now I don't.

I like the look of them, but dont like driving one.

Applogies for being a bit self serving but why don't you get a ute with a locking lid and 3 seats like the one i'm selling. Link attached

Yes they are cheap, have good suspension and are easy to mod. Great resale value too when you go to sell it.

In the BA/AU, Behind the seats. Plenty of room there. Or slide the passenger seat right back and sit it on the floor.
In the XH, what room? They only just got the seats in there!

In the XH, stuff all.

I've always had a ute, and wouldn't have it any other way.
Buy whatever you want! If you want a ute, buy a ute. If you want a sedan, buy a sedan.
Thor_ you're not stuck with the one car for life remember. If you buy a sedan and it doesn't suit, then sell it and get a ute.

Cheers

if you are selling your dirt bike and thinking of getting a road bike get a sedan. if you have a roadbike you can ride it on the road you dont need a ute or trailer to get it around.

and as has been said. you will be happier with the sedan.

More questions about your life, hmmm, do you actually have one? Or do you sit there all night starting threads and asking questions that you answer yourself in your first 2 lines?

Far out, buy a ute and get on with it would you!
