Default RWKW vs Net KW

Just bought myself a G-Tech, havn't had the opportunity to put it to use yet, But I was wondering if anyone that has one of these gadgets has compared thier net KW figure from the G-Tech to a Dyno RWKW figure, and how much difference wind resistance actualy makes to the total Net power on a sedan.

also....
anyone know the factory weight of thier AU I6 sedan?

and if anyone has the old style gas mixer ring setup on thier cars, what RPM is your power peaking at (I6)?

Cheers big ears.

I got the ss (was gonna get the rr, but then came to my senses and realised the ss was already more than I realy needed) - mainly got it to tell me what mods actualy had any effect without having to fork out for dyno time, but now that I have a new toy to play with I wanna put it to its full use!

I went for a drive to test it out, and I was a little dissapointed that the G-tech said my VCT only has just under 130kw peaking around 4800rpm for a 14.5 second pass (stock is rated at 175kw at the flywheel but I wouldnt have expected my manual to chew up so much power).

I was expecting peak power to be closer to 5500 rpm at the tachos redline, but Im hoping its just my gas mixer ring strangling the intake, so next time I go for a run Ill be taking that off to see if it makes any difference.

I based the weight on 1700kg which I guessed would be about right with the gas tank, and I new the g-techs readout would be lower than a dyno, but was just wondering how much lower it actualy is so I can draw a fair comparison of my results to other cars dyno results.

I guess if I got the weight wrong, the power calculated would be all wrong anyway, I just think its cool that it gets your RPM from the cigarett lighter! I never woul have thought that was even possible!

you lose between 40-50kw through the transmission. which is a fair bit. but thats the way it goes.

my au put out 117 rwkw on the dyno with just a cat back 2.5" exhaust. auto.

assuming the exhaust picked up 7-10kw, thats still 50kw lost through the transmission.
