In terms of reliability what would you pick and why? A 1.6 ford fiesta or a 1.5 toyota yaris?

I am looking at buying my first new car and dad is totally against me buying a 4 cylinder, cos I quote "they are all unreliable and weak"- yes his strictly a back wheel drive falcon head, therefore I have turned to this for advice. I really don't want an Asian import like a Getz or Barina, there for the leaves me with a Yaris or a Fiesta that is in my price range. I really like the looks of both. I have heard that toyota is the best in small car reliability, but I also have had heard good reviews on the Fiesta.

As for what is better?? Well I think the 1.5 Yaris has more power than the Fiesta, but the 1.6 in the Fiesta has more torque. Are you wanting a hatchback only? The Yaris sedan looks pretty good. What price difference is there? Have you driven either of them? We can go on and on about the good and the bad for each model, but the best thing to do in this case is make a table, comparing the specs, as well as the price and how you like it when in the test drive and once you got your answer go for it! |
