Default Can anyone help identify this falcon?

I'm looking at buying it, just not sure that it is an XR6 as claimed by the (female) owner.

Sposed to be a '94 ED XR6 Wagon, but has no badges, weird grill and no round headlights.

Maybe the wagon's are different, but this one has the wrong door trims, seats and by the looks of it, the wrong speedo as well compared to a normal ED XR6.

That said, maybe the wagon's were different, but I wouldn't have thought so.

Thats what I thought, I've been unable to find much info on the XR6 wagons, as they are quite rare. How/why would you put a Fairlane nose on a falcon?

Thanks Chrispy, fuel reg? what is this?

Does not look one bit like an XR6 but the compliance plate should answer your questions

Firstly welcome to the forums

Here is the page that will give you the info you need to read the compliance plate. It can be found by going into the Technical Resources section that can be found at the top of this page.

This is about the only true way of figuring out exactly what you have there. I must admit it does look like it has had a bit of work done on it over time.

Good luck & let us know how you go

PS: I do note that in that list there is an ED Fairmont Wagon. I havent had any experience with those though ..... maybe someone else can help ;)

I'm pretty sure Banarcus has one he's doing up in the workshop section.

As for that wagon, I doubt it's an XR6. (It's missing seats, headlights and the clock).

Dont get it. Its a bitsa. It has a 88-89 fairlane front, nothing XR except the manual (which doesn't look original anyway by looking at the angle of the clutch pedal) and Cluster. It has the Wrong interior, no real tailgate spoiler. It looks like its a standard GLi even with the GLi steering wheel. The seats look like they are Futura. It is a 94 mdl tho by the look of the interior

At that price mate (I looked it up on carsales), I'd steer clear. It's definitely not an XR, has high kays, and generally doesn't look all that good.

Defiantly not an XR mate, wrong headlights, Fairlane front, no rear spoiler, wrong colour, doesn't have an interior clock, manual conversion using an auto pedal box - look at the angle of that clutch pedal! Its worse than what Dezza's used to be like! Wrong seats and steering wheels and wrong trims.

Looks like a GLi with XH or XG seats in it. Door trims reek of GLi(not that thats a bad thing), nil tailgate spoiler etc etc etc.

Got my eye on a (real) EF XR6, getting it checked out tonight.

FrankenFalcon, LOL

Oh and she wanted 2800 with reg and RWC
