Hi AU People
I own a 2002 series 3 Futura, After reading several threads on rear courtesy lights I have investigated my dodgy rear lights, only to discover a part in each switch had melted. I dug into the pocket and bought two new ones from ford which are working fine. My question to you, is it normal for these lights to be on when a door is open? Mine stay on despite flicking the switch. The only time they seem to work with the switch is when the doors are shut. Also they come on when I activate the centre light despite flicking the switches. Its no wonder the previous switches melted as they do get very hot after a while. Regards Kane |

This is correct, they will be on whilst ever the interior lights are on. As you have mentioned, the switches are only usable when the interior lights are off.
