Default 75,000km Service

As the title suggests...

Any idea what price I would be looking at, roughly, to get the 75,000km service done by the dealer (AHG) who sold me the car (I need to get it done there to keep my 3yr warranty)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking You
Nick

Can't answer the cost question - but if your 3 year warranty is the standard manufacturer's warranty, you do not need to have the service done at a dealer. I was told by several Ford dealers that it is NOT a requirement to get the service done at your place of purchase or dealer. Any approved place can do it, ie Automasters, Ultratune etc etc but they have to use genuine parts, no generics.

That being said, my mechanic told me that whilst normal service is fine, some repairs that require schematics etc I'd have to get done by Ford, because they are not released to 3rd party repairers (or are hard/expensive to come by).

Nah it's an aftermarket warranty. Something that AHG do themselves!

That's the only reason it's going there mate, otherwise I'd rather save some money hey.

The 60,000km service is the major one with air filter, pollen filter, fuel filter and spark plugs replaced. 1500km service is purely a once-over, all the others is an oil/oil filter change including 75,000kms.

I wouldn't pay more than $200 for the 75k.

Lovely!

That's the news I wanted to hear. More money to do the car up now!

Be careful, the '3 year' warranty is often not worth the paper it's written on, so it might not be worth keeping.

200 bucks seems awfully steep for an oil filter change and oil. They must make a motherload in money just in servicing.
