Default im buying another ea

well im actually buying my old ea back, it was my second car, but my first with a license

i sold it to my brother 2 years ago when his vl its self, he needed a reliable car and i wanted an el ghia, so we both got our wish

didnt take long to realise i couldnt afford to run the el and pay off the loan as well as being a smoker all on 1st year apprentice wages, so the el had to go

the ea has been in the family for 10 years, had 2 engines and 1 trans

my bro done this to it not long ago:

ive repaired it up but it still has a few issues, so he lashed out and bought a vs statesman, when he gets it registered im getting the ea back

some details:

1990 ghia, 4 spd auto, it now has 320,000kms on it, broken drivers seat, no stereo, nice wide g grid tyres, oodles of dirt, dual fuel

just needs a general clean up, and needs the injectors cleaned or replaced so it can run on petrol again

and i need to respray the new bonnet, put on a new top lock, new air con condensor and compressor and regas, then i will have my "first" car restored back to its former glory and i can re live some memories lol

Gee, you're brother did a good job of that bonnet. Looks like he tried to tear it in half!

ahhh geez Paul you change cars more than you change ya clothes. or something...

Nice EA it is, put a 5 speed behind it and you'll be laughing, will sh!t on all the cars you've owned. What happened to the XB ? I wish I had a car on gas.

Good luck with it, we gotta get a monday meet happening some time soon.

What was he trying to drive under. I know traffic can be slow but i don't think squeezing under the other cars will help. My mate just tried that with a hilux in his vl. Sorry to hear bout the ea, lets hope its back soon,

From the pic it looks like only the bonnet is damaged, so should be an easy fix.

If it's going to cost any real money fixing the injectors, I'd go straight gas.

he was driving to work one saturday morning, slid under a rodeo, that cut was caused from the spare wheel bolt, i put super lows in it before i sold it to him so he is lucky in that respect

ive already semi repaired the car so he can still drive it, $120 for a second hand bonnet and $120 for a reco radiator, threw the condensor out

the top lock is very flimsy and weak so it realy does need to be replaced...easy job for an ea-ed tho caus u can buy them without the headlight panels and lower tie bar

damo, if i count this car twice (caus i have already owned it once before) this will be my8th car....and im only 20 years old lol

damo: still got the xb, its for sale tho, i love it to bits but space is a HUGE issue at the moment, our driveway consists of a patrol, a jeep, a statesman, an ea, a xb and a rodeo

both the xb and rodeo is for sale if anyone is interested....both in fantastic condition

ive been hangin out for a monday meet for ages!!!

john_xr6...i miss that el every day...but selling it was the best thing i done....got me out of a lot of financial issues
