Hi all. My Ser 111 xr on the front bumper on the bottom left and right corners have these add on bits that ford have put on standard which are real good at catching gutters when you park. Anyhoo, mine are starting to look a little worse for wear. I rang the local ford dealer and he didn't know what I was talking about. Can you get them ? If so where ? Im thinking wreakers would not be an option because of how popular the xr front ends are. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Depending on who you speak to they are either called lower front bar extensions or front "pods".
If you can still get them from Ford they will cost you a fortune. As for wreckers you will usually find that they won't separate them from a front bar and they usually don't realise that they can be saved from smashed bars so they go in the bin. Best bet is eBay, I got mine from there for $120.

Anyway you can get em from Ford, or go to www.awcinfo.com they have them for sale... The easy but expensive option is to ask Ford... |

And FYI as well, I haven't had any issues with my fibreglass ones at all, provided you are careful to not catch any gutters.
