Sketches look nice, very Maserati front with a dash of Jaguar rear.

If it's anything like the current Optima, should be a nice looking ride.

Yeah I always find it interesting when different writeups give a vastly different opinion.
And thats what they are folks, opinions.

Am I the only one who thought it could have been a 7 series BMW?

A Ford badge would fit nicely in place of the oval Kia badge. I would. No worse than driving a late 90s Kia Festiva.

Interesting for the Falcon doomsayers how Kia percieves a demand for a global RWD sedan though, isn't it...

Looks good. I know the Genesis in America has a 4.6 V8. Any ideas what this would have?

Yes but I'd value some opinions higher than others, and when it comes to judging a car on its merits, a newspaper auto section is the last place I'd go for "opinions." The likes of Jez Spinks is living proof of that! The Kia looks good, front end proportions still look FWD, but other than that I can see the similarities with the BMW 7. It boggles the mind to think where these Korean companies are going to be in a few years... |

Front is very very BMW.. Looks cool though, again, Korean cars are making a name for themselves.
I join with others in saying that korean cars are now becoming Jap alternatives.. |

At least we don't have to worry about Lincoln coming out with a RWD car!

Makes you wonder... doesn't it. And before anyone says the team are pro this or that, or bias... they also gave best large car under 50K to the Falcon EcoLpi. We need the Koreans, even though many are not a fan. It keeps the competition on their toes IMO. |
