I have a consol from what appears to be 50s 60s Ford.
I know its Ford as it is stamped on the underside. I was hoping some one in this forum might be able to id it for me, cheers, Whisperer. |

Looks like its an option from a galaxy or a T-bird... Love the ribbed look! I reckon it would look great all restored in my '64 fairlane!

It's possible it was used on more than one Ford but i'd say it was at least used in the 1964 Mercury Comet -
A Ford part number looks different to that from what i've seen whisperer, typically it will be something like C4GC-18000-3 First letter is the decade, C is 1960's, 4 is the year, next is basic model with G being Comet, Next is the component area, C is body/electrical and the next bunch of numbers are the part numbers and last is the revision number. Actually, looks like it was used in early Falcons too, her'es a 63 - Last edited by Kieron; 16-01-2013 at 07:57 PM. |

Yep these where used in the US Falcon's, Comet, S22 and probably more models. Think they where used in Aussie Xm/Xp futuras as mentioned by xp6. The 1st picture above it is fitted back to front. Maybe the different part number has something to do with the one whisperer has is it is fitted with the ashtray fitted to the back of it for the back seat passengers. Don't see to many of them floating round.
