Default EA oli leak below head help

I have a ea & a while back it backfired big
time after replacining the tfi unit on dizzy
as it was not (DIZZY) inserted properly
it blew the muffler open.
We soon realised the shaft was not inserted
properly after many attempts we got it in.
Belive me it was like a bomb went off.
Now i see oil leaking on exhaust side running
down block but the engine still runs aok.
Have i blown the head gasket for this to
happen as the car has not lost any power
or could i have done more damage to it.
The oil is seeping down under the top of
block, not rocker cover.

Are you sure it isn't the timing case seal? Its a bit of a pain to repair but I found mine leaking there and the mechanic said its a normal problem for the ea's. Mine is not leaking very bad, infact its more of a very slow ooze so he told me not to worry about we will just keep our eyes on it.

that is ice cream in the oil cap, or oil bubbles in the coolant reservoir when the car is running

Isnt there a liquid that you can add to your oil to help your seals so you dont get leaks?

No water in oil, i cracked a head once & i
know what you mean by icecream it foams
up everywhere.
I will try a leak sealer but have a feeling
the gasket is blown on outer side of
head.
