Default What's the most practical supercar?

I thought about it and I think the Ferrari California would have to be right up there. It has reasonable storage, (when the roof is up atleast) most things are fully electric, seats, steering wheel etc. Reviews say that it can be driven normally without a struggle which other ferraris, lambos lack.

What do you guys reckon?

Porsche 911 Turbo S PDK. Hands down.

But for a real supercar...
Aventador would be my choice. It has everything I'd want. Much better in every way over the Lp640. And I think the LP640
is not too bad to drive in Sydney's traffic

Seriously, anyone can drive the thing. Not that ive driven many supercars lol, But the thing is very docile until you open it up.

Very easy to live with, sounds fantastic too.

LFA?

I personally don't think "supercar" and "practical" should share the same sentence

There definitely is. A 911 GT3 is fairly comfortable, relatively practical as anything that is not a big sedan, and even gets good fuel economy. And is the best drivers car ever made that nothing can hold a candle to. It is automotive perfection.

Honestly PORSCHE has had that crown its whole life.....and it has a line up from cheap to gt3 race spec models all probably the easiest to drive and live with supercars.
But ill thro one out there for FAMILIES....the new AwD AMG C63 wagon.

Audits surely in the mix aswell but seriously...not much else comes close...surely.

Clarkson would say if its practical then its not a supercar.
But going by that theory there would probably be none today.
Apparently "your Grandma" could drive the Veyron.

If it can be called a supercar, IMO the most practical would be the R35

Pagani Hyuara. But seriously any AMG or BMW M series easy daily drives. Porsche gt3 rs would be my pic of the bunch but I'm unstable and love the noise it makes.

Are you talking the American supercharged 5.4? It is quite possibly the least practical Supercar in existence. It is borderline dangerous on any less than perfect tarmac. I still have what is left of the 315s I destroyed off the back of it sat up my shed :-) I can't imagine how many of them have been crashed, as far out it was a hell of a handful. No electronic aids at all, over power the rears at will in first three gears and quite twitchy and unsettled all the time. Crazy thing. Looked horn though :-)

My wife regularly drives a 360 Ferrari and Lamborghini Gallardo. She always says the Ferrari would make a good daily, but the Lambo makes a more fun car.

Which an R35 GTR can do with ease, nothing like a Falcodore but as far as a Supercar goes they are very practical.

Noble M600?...... Okay, maybe not.

On a more serious note, as far as practicality (which is a subjective term, practicality means different things to different people), I personally would think it'd be hard to go past the R35 GTR. Goes hard, comfortable, able to seat 4 adults (I think ), reasonably quiet until you get up it, able to park it at your local and then drive out without having to dodge a million rubber-neckers along the way, decent storage... Also helps that I love them to pieces, and would have one in my drive way right now, if I could afford one (Wishful thinking right there). Having said that, I have to agree with 1TUFFUTE as well, the C63 wagon stirs emotions in my pants rather effectively.

I have noticed nobody has mentioned the Aston Martin Rapide. Another car I think is fantastic, despite being effectively modeled off a two-door. Also, as James May explained, it does what Porsche's Panamera doesn't - Look good from any angle* . Having said that, I've no idea how it works in the real world, having only seen pictures of it, it could be about as comfortable as the Flintstones mobile.

This is certainly a thought-provoking thread.

* Based on the opinions of a complete tool (Myself, not James May).

Who buys a supercar for practicality? Aren't the people who buy them super rich and therefore have their supercar and their practical car?
