hey guys
a friend of mine has come across this badge in his families storage unit now the questions he has are 1.. how old is it ? 2.. how would his family come to have it ? ( as far as he can remember no one in his family has owned a gt ) 3.. what would it be worth? if and it is a big IF he was to sell it thanks in advance for any info given Jason

Yeah, looks like a pin/clothes badge, based on the XW badge, promo tool for dealers?
Nope, XT's didn't have the GT badge on the Grille, they had it on the Bonnet instead. Just had the letters "GT" horizontally with no "ford".

Its got sales service parts on the top of the badhe would suggest some type of dealership worker would of worn it

Dealership pins...being gold at the top like that, likely it was a special one for someone who made a lot of sales?
I once saw a very nice set of cufflinks and a tie pin...just a plain Ford oval, but nicely enamelled and high quality...still in their little "Ford" labelled box that were a dealer prize for selling the most cars. It was from the sixties or early seventies, and was on Ebay for about twenty bucks. I hummed and hahhed and missed out on them. Should have bought them... |

Definitely a sales/service persons lapel pin. Have seen a few like this when I was much younger hanging around my uncle, who worked at a Ford dealership for many many years.
