Default S pack moulds

Do you need to replace the entire moulds to update an EA to S pack or just the red insert? I'm looking at an EA fairmont which already has the dash and wheels, is there any other differences?

For the bumpers, all you need are the inserts. For the side mouldings, the stripe is actually part of the mould so you would need to replace it.

Thanx heaps. Do you know if these would be an obselete item? Can I restick moulds if I find second hand "S" ones?

If you get second hand ones, you just stick them on with double-sided tape. That's all that Ford used. As for new ones, you can buy them but they are very expensive. At the start of the year, I asked the panel beaters about how much it would cost to replace my side moulding (with chrome strips), and they said $50 per door. I asked if the s pack ones were any cheaper and they said No. At least at the wreckers, it shouldn't be too difficult to find cheap second hand s-pack moulds. It's near impossible to find cheap Fairmont ones in good condition.

What a pain in the a$$ that was to fit. My hands are killing me from getting the old tape off the moulds. I think it would have been easier to trade the car on an S
