Like really rich - as in just won $big in the lottery, and had $$$ annual interest to spend.
What would you do car-wise? Would you go for a Euro-supercar, or soup up a Falcon to supercar/race car/ultimate levels? |

As a daily id grab myself a VF HSV GTS and put a Harrop kit on it...
Assuming I had won enough for a weekend/track racer I'd grab myself a 997 Series 2 GT3 RS in the Grey...

Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Edition. Then pay for a private tunnel to drive backwards and forwards in just to listen to it.

A Nissan GT-R wouldn't go astray to be honest, and if I have to have a Euro vehicle for the sake of this thread, pimped out Mercedes Sprinter with 70" TV, recliners, A/C and a big fridge in the back.

An XA GT hardtop for the weekend and a Porsche Macan twin turbo v6 for a daily driver. However Mrs M would want a Mercedes CLS or similar.

I'd honestly go for a full-on Falcon, get it tuned & sorted by DJR or similar, with chassis reinforcements done to cope with excess torque and the like, and run with it.
Wouldn't think so much about status or prestige; would focus instead on how to make a Falcon better. |

I'd build two xb coupes. A v8 supercar inspired ultra light street legal weekend racer and a daily luxo inspired turbo six for comfy reliable family cruising

Finish my XB projects and buy a H2 Hummer for daily duties. Then go from there, Euro or Jap vehicles do not interest me at this stage.

This month's Motor magazine compared the S600 v Ghost v Flying Spur. That was a drool-fest for me. I wouldn't be able to pick a winner - I'd want all three.

First thing I would do is build an 8 car garage and then start buying things. The obvious being XY and XB GTs. Would look into a nice F6 and tune, and keep the Rspec. Audi RS4 or Jag XFRS daily with Twin Turbos. I would like a supercar and so would probably get into a F355 as an introduction and see where that leads. Problem with Supercars is that you need a massive win on the lottery. They are hugely expensive to buy and then the values drop like a stone but also the upkeep is ridiculous. Even the 355 needs its timing belt changed every 30ks and its a full engine out job to do. Clutches are almost 6 monthly items etc. However having a Lambo sitting in the garage would be sweet.

If I were filthy rich??
Daily = Maloo Ute. Maybe also a Ranger Wildtrack for towing. Wife = Whatever car she wants. Toy #1 = XA GT Coupe. Toy #2 = Track Coupe, Group C Replica, or a real one if one comes up. Toy #3 = Audi RS4. Keep my XC Coupe and re-do the body and interior. Give away the Honda and wifes Corolla to any family who needs them (have some nephews driving absolute dirt boxes - lack of cash).

One of the new yank Fords for me, a new GT and a Mustang GT350R would do just fine.
