Couldn't help but post this thread... Registered the 5.0 Ghia on Friday, have done about 150k's in it now. It's behaved absolutely flawlessly - the air con works, it handles like it's on rails (I'd forgotten the skateboard-like handling of a lowered E-series!), it's smooth and quiet and uses bugger-all fuel. I'm majorly impressed.
It's even looking good - I'll put up some updated pics tomorrow, but so far, I've: - Colour coded the doorhandles and wiper scuttle - Gone to an EA grille for the badge-free look - Changed the EB Ghia doortrims to ED Ghia woodgrain ones - Resprayed the bumpers to removed stone-chips and trolley scrapes - Peeled off the lame red sticker over the chrome Ghia side-trims - Given it a damn good cut & polish The only complaints I have are that the stereo is lame (not Ford's fault), and that the car has a few rattles - particularly the doors when it's going over bumps in the road. Also, the bumper's hanging half off. Possibly because we were drunk when we put it back on. Pics tomorrow.

yep have to agree the E-series cars are generally hot beasts... :
And it feels so good when someone actually compliments how great your car looks considering their car is worth $50grand more (or maybe more) than yours : : :eclipsee_ ohhhhh and you know the easiest way to fix the rattles!!!! Turn the music up louder |
