Exclamation AU 5ltr series 1 fairlane,

So the car drives fine, then occasionally in top gear it randomly loses all forward momentum, then when I button off the loud pedal, it finds a gear agin and I’m off for a few more seconds then does it again.?????...wtf is going on there, done a trans service , still doing the same, happens around the 110kph mark... help please

Sorry to be blunt, but the transmission has had it. Time for either a replacement or a rebuild.
