Hi,
Today I was riding my motorbike from work, and spotted this suitcase style 'unicycle' that a guy was standing up riding on. It was a little downhill, and I looked at my speedo, the crazy rider was doing over 50 km/hr ! His feet was very close to the ground standing on some foot boards, and it had one bicycle wheel. Total height of the thing was roughly up to his knees. It had a tail light and a headlight. I couldn't see a bicycle handlebar anywhere, so it looked like it was a hand held controller not attached to the 'unicycle'. It had a sticker something 'electric' (didn't get to study it as he did a sharp turn up a footpath to the side. Quite a few have scooters lately, but they seem to not be doing much more than 25 km/hr. I wouldn't like to fall off a 'cycle' like that at such a high speed! I'm sure the police would be a little interested also if they had spotted this thing in such a hurry. Anyone else seen these? Cheers, |

No controllers. They are self balancing and steering, speed depending on how you lean.

Had one pass me on the mountain bike going in the opposite direction on my morning ride about a month ago. Was on a cycle path in pitch darkness and couldn't figure out what it was coming towards me with the low headlight, when he flew passed me it just looked like some guy levitating at speed with a light on his knee, when i looked back all i could see was a taillight and his outline, looked weird in the dark, he was honking.
Not cheap.... https://e-riderz.com.au/ The Veteran Sherman has a top speed of 72kph (45mph) https://e-riderz.com.au/product/vete...tric-unicycle/ https://oneradwheel.com/know-this-be...ic%20unicycles.

There's a plague of electric scooters/wheels/skateboards etc in most inner cities.
All the food delivery mobs use them, some councils rent them out, some ban them...laws different between councils, and states. Police generally ignore them until there is a crash... |

In Melbourne they all end up in trees or in the Yarra River - then Melbourne City Council fines the company for not cleaning them up and suddenly all these companies decide that these renta bull**** things don't work in Melbourne
