Ive got an EL and ive been told that the one behind the clock pannel is just for the clock, so im guessing its either find a loom in a wreck or its soldering and wiring time.

hey, the wire connector behind the panel is just for the clock. You will need the connector from the wrecker for the trip computer. from the clock connector though, you can use the constant power, ignition power, and illumination, and ground, to tap into the trip computer wires. then there is the speed sensor, eec 4 connection and some others, which u will need too add. for more info, just check out www.fordmods.com
ive done this mod ages ago, takes about an hour to complete, well that was in the dark, so about .5 hours http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=46

yep, just check out the guide on fordmods from the link in my previous post. very straight forward, and a good mod
you only need the connector and about 3 inches of the wires behind it, itll be plenty of room to tap into existing wires, and make new connections
