Are you saying the electricity companies are budgeting for infrastructure work, asking the electricity regulator for an increase in prices to maintain profit and then not building the infrastructure as the article suggested?

Well says alot doesnt it. and not the fault of a tax designed to reduce consumption. Hmmm

Gordon Gekko would be proud of the scam the energy companies have pulled off.

Dmarc isn't alone with his claims. Many like him are able to verify that the power grid and associated support systems have been severely neglected.

Prior to the carbon tax introduction.
the carbon tax put a price of $23 per tonne impost on those producing more than 25,000 tonnes annually. that amounts to a cost of $0.025 per KWh. As an average 1.09Kg's of C02 is produced per KWh in australia

which equates to $0.3975 or 39.75 cents per day for the average australian household use of 13.9KWh.
which in itself equates to about a 6% additional cost if energy, as per origins published figures averages at 39 cents per KWh.
39c x 13.9KWh + 84.7c daily supply= $6.27 .39/6.27 = 6.22%
A rise in electricity cost prior to the Carbon tax of 72 percent or a tax adding 6% which came in after. so something caused the significant price rise average of 72%...

I can't give you the answer for this. All I'm saying is the system is not gold plated. I still can't believe that the one essential service that keeps us from the stone age is allowed to be in this condition. It's a running joke between my coworkers about how bad some of the gear is.

Summed it up really well , but you left out having to bend over and take it from the greens , oh well the price you have to pay for that life pension . little things like morals and personal belief kinda fade into the background when your placed in that situation . That is of course if you had any to begin with.
