I live in one of the new apartment buildings off Hampstead Rd so I know what you mean, that intersection is massively dangerous. I wanted to reverse further back because of this moron but I had people behind me as well. I was half expecting him to just plant the accelerator and reverse straight into me!

I've noticed this problem too - car parks are being designed for Dinky Toys these days...

It really becomes a problem when the rows are too close together, and you haven't got room to swing out and turn into the park properly without a seven point turn to line up with it...lot of supermarkets are doing that now. Surely they don't pick up that many extra parks by making the parks a bit smaller and putting the rows closer together...

i dont think its as much making the parks smaller to fit more of them in, but more making the car park itself as small as possible.
malls/plazas etc have to have a certain number of car parks as part of there consent process to build, so its in their best interest to waste as little land as possible on a car park that doesnt earn them a rental income.. as opposed to the complete raping shops have to pay in rent at the big malls.

Gripe gripe session is on. Do something useful go and get your local council regulations on parking spaces.
THESE ARE AUSTRALIAN STANDARDS and have not changed for at least 10 years, Ok you got them was that too bloody hard now get off your asses and measure the spaces where your bitchin about. If they are correct tough **** learn to park if they are not legal size write and official complaint to your council

Sorry guys but some many people these days just waste air and complain without doing anything useful.

Unfortunately no pictures but yesterday I saw to fails on the southside of Brisbane. The first one was at a wreckers at Oxley in the customers car park was a red EA or EB with a ralli art badge on the back.

The second was in the Mt Lindsey hwy heading south at Park Ridge where I was over taken by a current model Mitsubishi Triton dual cab 4x4. What makes it a fail was the fact the car was a dark grey colour but the owner had decided the the mirror covers, the 4 flares and hard cover on the tray would be better painted bright pink.

not exactly the caused by the same fault but i had a bike that dropped a valve and put a hole through the piston which looked almost the same. new valves and piston and removed all the metal shaving in the engine and she was back on the road in 2 days
