my g/f and her friend passed it first go just recently so if you failed it then you don't know as much about driving as you think.

but yeah they did say it was very pixelated and hard to tell one object from another.

get back on your horse and have another go mate.

Cool

I passed the HPT test ~80% few months back, the other tests 100%.
I'm an experienced driver (~8 years in Europe) but the freakin' HPT wasn't easy due to poor picture quality and irrelevance to the real driving experience.

Personally I don't know of anyone who has failed thier NSW HPT.

I do agree though resolution for the vids are a bit poor, like they were taken with a $10 webcam

Could not be more relevant. The Aussie system sounds shocking.

EDIT: You don't pull over durring the 100km/h one! It was a while ago now!
With your road toll - by any measure, including per capita variances, worse than that in Australia; we DO NOT need to take 'lessons' from New Zealand.

NZ can't even get 'the meaning of what you call 'the open road sign' correct, and your existing and previous transport ministers know it.

Hopeless, really.

Learn to say Subaru:-) NZ is the only english language nation that gets it wrong.
