No, I dont think it was that program, however I remember the program you described and I beleive it that was on discovery or something.

The one and only episode I watched of the show they were racing for each others car, but most of the show was spent arguing over who should get the handycap and that the other guy was cheating.

There is supposedly a new car show based around some Aussie built cars... Its on Fox8 and it starts this friday comming...
As for Pinks my fav epsiode was the race between that honda civic and that Camaro (?? couldn't remember his car)... The civic almost started at the 1/8mile mark and still got beaten !!
