Has all changed now, or you can just call the police assistance line to get a event number, police will actually tell you to do this as they are not interested unless it is a serious accident, as they have enough to deal with as it is.

You havent really thought about this have you?

So going by your theory if you t-bone a car that has just ran a red light as your going through a green light the accident will be your fault as you ran into the other car, with damage to the front of your car and damage to the side of the car that just ran the red light :

Never heard than one. I remember years ago when I was a kid Mum started to reverse out of our driveway and I hadnt shut passanger door as yet and then went into the carport post. Insurance paid no drama's folks just had to pay excess.

Both reversing. Both at fault in the eyes of the law.
Both insurance cos should cover each car not one for both.

Yep my brother got stung that way.

He was backing out from UNI and a car went pass trying to get around him, by brothers towball went into his passenger side doors as he tried to squeeze past, yet it was still my brothers fault.
