The car is unreal now!! Idle is starting to settle down a lot and it seems to have gained a bit more power since the ECU has figured out what the hell is going on. It kept up with a VYII SS 6spd ute last night until he was well into second gear. Afterwards he pulled me over and asked what the hell was under the bonnet......he was a little disappointed when I said it was only a 6.

Don't think it'd be doing 14's. I think they run flat 14's. He had it all over me once he got going in 2nd, but he said he had no hope of catching me in 1st.
At the moment, I think it'd be doing low 15's. I think I'm gunna get a g-tech soon due to the lack of a strip here.

I was surprised as well. I thought he must have had a lot of wheel spin, but he said it hooked up well.

Hi
Sounds like you are having loads of fun. When you guys say it idles like a dog, can you describe a little more what you mean? Do you have to bump up the idle speed? and if you do, do you do that from the throttle body? As I understand it, the computer slowly adapts to the new setup and the idle gets better. Does this mean the idle is smoother with a nice lope? Am considering a cam change on my EB, as I have a spare enging with blown head gasket. How much difference was there with and without the extractors? Sorry for all the Q's. Regards BenJ |

The idle hunted between 500-1100rpm to start with and has slowly settled to about 700rpm and has a nice cammy lope to it, at this stage it still gets a little unsettled if it's left idling for a long time. It's only stalled on me a couple of times, for the amount of gain, the idle is a trade off that I am definately willing to put up with.
The was a very noticable gain without the extractors, but the extractors really brought the engine to life, it's a lot more responsive and torquey.
