He would say that, wouldn't he? But looking out on half a dozen beautiful spotlit Italian thoroughbreds in the adjacent showroom and with Enzo Ferrari, Niki Lauda and others looking down on us, it's not hard to see the lure of joining this exclusive society.

Lauda is not dead so I will assume he talking about some paintings here

If he is just "being descriptive" he doesn't know much about Ferrari

the gfc makes the rich richer. while the plebs go broke and the bank sells there holmes the rich get them cheap and next time things are good they sell them for huge profit. over simplified of course, but tough times are when the most money is made.

Yeah I thought he was talking about paintings when I read it, I didn't consider the heaven allusion when I read it. But now that I read it again, I can't picture the paintings. odd

i would by a 2nd hand one and save like 70%, they are like new 2nd hand cause people that buy them dont drive them, so many 5 year old lambo/pors/ferr with like 10-20 thousand km's on them. and they look the same as the new ones!

Well I am happy with my lot . Just remember ,as my late father in law used to say , they may have all the toys ,the house, the boat, etc , but you have no idea how much they owe.. As a bank man for nearly fifty years , he had seen it all .

I could have every new ford and holden sedan out at the moment for the price of that one car, or throw 100k at a brand spankers G6ET and beat the pants off it!

Then again, each to their own, if money was no object then why the hell not. I don't understand why expensive cars are a target for people, god when I bought my falcon I used to think people with BF LTD's were snobs, how could you pay so much for a car!? Yet I almost bought a BA LTD just recently as I worked my **** off and have got a decent job.

Would it be different if they took sick children for joyrides, or parachuted into kenya with aid packages? They might need to watch out for the lions and tigers though, only in kenya I hear...

Edit: And pirates... if they were attempting a beach landing

Seriously, for the price you pay for the car, why can't all those options be reasonably priced, or free?

Haha, I hear you mate.

Just trying to pick my jaw off the ground after reading that article.

FYI, I saved something fierce and paid cash for my XR8. Doesn't make it easier when practically all my friends (99% of people my age) live from one pay check to the next, splurging money and wanting to go out every night, haha.
