Keep in mind that just because the website says its available, doesn't mean it actually is. All plates are subject to approval from Vicroads and anything that "promotes a negative road safety image" will be denied. You can also have your plate taken off you after issue, if it is discovered after the fact.

I use to have HA2HSV on my old import and it definatly got the point across. Though like the early reply post said, for such plates you will require the ponies to back it up.

In QLD, once you own the plates, you own them for life.

No yearly fee like in say VIC, they're yours to keep... so if they're going to fleece you of your cash only once, they're going to do it PROPERLY!

VIC? You've been given the wrong info.

Victoria is exactly the same, one fee, yours for life, no yearly fee - as long as you keep Vicroads informed if your plates aren't going to be attached to a vehicle for longer than 6 months & you don't onsell your rego to anyone else. The only other way you can loose 'em is if Vicroads recall the plate for being found to be offensive/not promoting a positive road safety image.

FYI - if you have the plates - you don't own them for life anyway.

VicRoads (and i'm sure the other state RTA's) reserve the right to revoke the plates at any time anyway.

So if you think you got away with something and they realise, they can demand the plates be removed...

You don't necessarily have to give them back to the RTA - but you can't legally put them on your car and have registration...

(I have had this happen, and seen it happen...)

H82BU

H8HSV

WHYTRY

YBOTHR

GOTEGO

2QIK4U

BIGEGO

EGO4ME

GR8EGO

possibilities are endless but you really need to know what sort of msg you want to send, like are you trying to say something about your car, be smart, or put down a holden/or other make, then its much easier to make anything work
