hey i got extended warranty 3 years when i got the car, i shouldnt have, but i wanted to be safe, now... if i am to modify the car will it become void?
And once its void do the payments for it stop?
I have rear my booklet and stuff but couldnt find anything about terminating the warranty.

I thought so too. Ford know that I am the owner so I don't know what the deal is there.

They only have to do it on safety recalls not product update recalls

After market bolt ons......eg, exaust, shocks, springs, wheels and tyres ect ect..would not void your warranty....what there after is all your service and repair work.....read your policy on what they cover when something does go wrong....as most policys wont cover oil leaks...water leaks...ect ect but only cover "hard parts" like internal engine / gearbox / diff parts.....starter moter and alternators....but then if an engine goes, if it braks a rod for example....most extended warrantys WILL ONLY COVER A PORTION OF THE PRICE OF THE JOB... like they might cover the first 1000 - 1500 dollars, and you have to supply the rest !!! READ CAREFULY !!! So if you blow a bottom radiator hose ( which wouldnt be covered in a extended warranty ) as it would be classed as a water leak, and you blow a head gasket...GUESS WHO WOULD BE PAYING FOR THE JOB !!! 95% chance YOU WILL BE......

I ended up going to a ford dealership in Chullora for au steering recall and when I got home there was power steering fluid all over my driveway. When I took it back they too said it was there before and quoted me 550 for a new one in the same breath.

I also took my wifes camry for a service somewhere in Sydney and they tried to charge me 350 dollars for an oil change.I told them no .Went and bought some nice synthetic oil,an oil filter for 50 and did it myself.

I dont like the Ford motor company in Sydney except for Ratt on this forum and the little parts bloke from Tompson ford who looks like John Howard..

The Ford dealer in Chullora I especially do not like their general bad attitude nor would I do work for them unless they were all sacked.

Exactly ..and don't forget most of the dealer mechanics are on low(er) wages too so all in all the job satisfaction would be ordinary compared to a private workshop.

This is correct. With my BAXR8 ute they didn't tell me until I took it in for a service that my tremec 5 speed was subject to recall and would be replaced with a new box, something to do with the 5th gear. Apparently limited to a batch.

Exactly right VZSS250. They might be on low wages but WE are paying big bucks for a service at Ford.

That would be their problem? They shouldn't take it out on our cars though.
