That's good to know. I'm getting a set of Superlows for the back of mine. How much of a front coil would I need to cut (shock, horror) to make the front drop about 15mm. I was thinking somewhere around the 1/2 coil mark? And, yes, I'm serious. I can't see how 1/2 a coil could affect suspension too greatly, but happy to be corrected and told to shell out the $120 odd for a front pair of SLs (or just wait for Casper's) . :

JC, please dont cut.. wait for mine, they are not too far off. I'd feel better if you just wait, just to be on the safe side.

BD - I'll wait for your PM - I have a whole spare set of AU3 XR springs, so I'm not worried about cutting them - ie, I'll cut them, and if the car is too bouncy or whatever, I'll just put the stock AU1 XR springs back in (just for your piece of mind Casper). Anywhere from 10 to 15mm is all I'mm looking to drop.

Casper - if the experiment doesn't work, of course I'll wait for yours.

Default Suspension

I am very impressed with pedders suspension & have used them over the years. I have lowered pedders springs in my car, lol (30 mil on forte, normal height for XR). The shocks are Monroe GT gas. I sold a set used for my wifes EF & am now trying to buy them back I have always been impressed with pedders but am dissappointed with the Monroes, too harsh for a daily driven car. I can't fault pedders & for the money I rate them, but I am no suspension expert either. I can't complain though after the spring & shock change (nothing worn out) the car handles at least 35-40% better but it is daily driven on some rough roads & I am probabaly getting too old lol. It comes down to budget of course Koni are brilliant but, I would rather spend the money on the donk!
