Personally i dont really like any of them too much i think the BA/AU copies suit the e-series the best but as you have said you have store credit to use so if any i would say the graphite

Speaking of which - I had the day off and in my travels called in to a local tyre store to enquire on the Graphites. I am looking at around $1800 for a set of 4.

He then asked me if my wagon listed the optional 16" Tickford Rim on it's tyre placard - I don't know about the sedans but the wagon only has the 15" standard alloys listed so legally I am restricted to 17" Maximum.

Funny thing was I drove past another tyre store who had 18" BA XR8 rims on their EF Ute (sorry not sure what X series that is) I stopped to have a closer look and what was behind them - adaptors.

I think I'll stick with my original idea and stay with the 17s. (like the rest of us I can't wait to see what you ended up with)

Heh, don't even get me started on spacers or adapators

I got into a big tiff with the tyre place I got my rims from, they were going to sell me 19' ROH Vapors with adaptors. I told them after I found out they were illegal in all states I didn't want them anymore due to the fact they were illegal, Well they chucked a fit and pretty much demanded I take them and get them made "legal" by some guy they knew. I told them to do it but they said they don't get invloved with that. Talk about dodgy, not only does their website state spacers or adaptors are illegal a quick call to head office and a chat with the regional manager sorted them out, that's why I have store credit.

I must say thou, the new rims looks very nice and shiny

that actually worked for a mate of mine with his commodore last weekend in town got pulled over for suspected rims to big, cop asked what size they were because you canot read the size due to whitewalls, mate said they are 18's. cop argued saying that his car came with 14's and 15's were the biggest they came out with standard, mate showed his tyre placard ( vy berlina one) this says 16's ohwell have a good night.

it might of worked once but i wouldnt be relying on it everytime. if it was a traffic inspector he would of been screwed.

I couldn't wait for Tax
I wanted 19' but they don't do 19' in Pre AU. Had to settle for 18x8. And yes, I am still working up some cash to get superlows.

Very impressive. The 18s look big enough and with superlows it'll look even more sweeter.

The only problem is; every photo you have of your car it seems to be cold and gloomy!! :P

Ah yeah, well it is winter, and it does rain a lot. Infact it started to rain when I was taking those photos. The camera doesn't help either, very crappy. I'm thinking of buying a new one tomorrow actually.

2000. But there's freight in there somewhere. Your best to ask someone on the mainland for a better price comparison.
