Motor racing champion Peter Brock has reportedly been killed in an accident in Western Australia. A car competing in the Targa West rally crashed into a tree at Gidgegannup about 30 kilometres north-east of Perth about 12pm, a Western Australia police spokesman told smh.com.au. The car was carrying two people and one had died in the crash, he said. The major crash investigation unit was at the scene, he said. He said he could not confirm the driver was Mr Brock, although that he is being broadcast on Sky News. |

The guy got on my nerves sometimes, but he is a legend. I guess racers never stop racing.
Also, I know it doesn't matter, but what car was he driving? Also, any news on the co driver? Heard he was/is a dealer of some sort.

This sucks. RIP Brocky.
The road he was driving on is only a short distance from me. Ive actually driven this road and it is an awesome bit of tarmac. I can fully understand how it happened. Its very windy, hilly and has hair pins. Awesome and scary when dry, but in the wet.... Not a good week. Very sad news. Hes going to be very missed in the motorsport world. RIP mate. |
