They sell all their oil so what do they care. Now they get to sell less oil for pretty much the same price.
It's coming in winter on the northern side, most use oil for heating.

I just watched "Enron: The smartest guys in the room"
It's amazing to see what people will do when they can control the supply of an important commodity, in this case electricity in the state of California.

As has been said earlier, unfortunately OPEC is just about beyond regulatory control, so we have to basically grin and bear it, or in my case, stay off boost!

Will only go up a maximum of 12.5c/L over 5 years (something like 2.5c/L per year) ... starting from 2011 I believe.

It's nowhere near the increase of petrol though ... which skyrocketed about 50c/L over 2 years.

Hahaha - indeed. Although you wont find the OPEC model in any textbook.

If a group of people selling the same product got together under any domestic jurisdiction and ran around calling themselves a cartel... they'd be thrown in jail.

The performance would be nice when it's designed like that

every time i suggest Ford should release a diesel-electric hybrid powertrain for their cars, people on here tell me to get real. But they also complain about fuel prices. High Oil prices encourage us to try new methods of energy which then is better for the environment. a diesel-electric falcon could potentially perform much better than a petrol powered one, and get under 3L per 100km (and we should be using 3L of B100 Biodiesel) - but people don't want to change their mentality.
Bring on high oil prices i say, and bring on the new technology (actually diesel-electric is really old technology, but new to cars)
