Ok so running a recore

Mine currently does not want to work :(

I get a strange error coms error when I hit recore

Elm327 cable does quality matter tried in hs and Ms mode but no luck

Also for some reason my radio station with blank screen icc, on my cluster it self it shows up as audio Off but music is playing my cluster is all working before

Does this mean my unit has died completely and not just a simple recore flash is needed

I'm yet to get a Elm327 to try a recore in the car.But I have used the UART with pin 6 and seen its got a heap of corruption.yours might be as bad as the one I am trying to fix. If only we knew if replacing the ram chips would work or if its the flash chip. can these chips be blank and still accessed by ODB2? Because if that's the case Ill order the chips and the stencils(if needed) to reball new chip.

it has output a repair.log

Today I had a look at what is going on with Boosted_g6's ICC

It was spitting a error about no partition been found where all the package files are stored I take it there is 2 partitions one for the QNX environment and the second one for the packages and scripts. I took the liberty of removing the flash chip to see if the environment would load to make sure that the environment wasn't being run off the arm chip. well I confirmed that there is 2 partitions on this chip. the environment part must not wear out like the scripts part of the chip as someone has said it would be from constant writes onto the flash memory that is wearing them.few weeks from now Ill order a BGA63 jig to read the drive raw onto the computer.then I will also order some new chips and see what I can achieve getting this running again.

Hey jason i did a bit of reading on how you recovered dead icc’s i’m interested in having a go at repairing mine, i have a field in repairing circuitry, i want to know abit more on what goes on and how to go about fixing my icc, is there any way i can pm you or some other form of messaging you.

Or if someone wants to tell me what actually fails on the board and what software os required to get the icc to work again.

TIA Nick
