My user name on here has always been XR6WGN. If I wanted that as number plates it would be a custom plate at $200.00 per year. By changing the XR6 and WGN around it became a Personalised plate which was a one off cost of $180.00. So WGNXR-6 it was.

Back when I was a member of the Tickford / FPV car club here in SA, a very nice lady suggested KABOOSE because it was the wagon that was always at the back of the train slowing everything down!!

In 1985 for my birthday I purchased a set of VICTORIAN no slogan PERSONALISED PLATES XP6566 for my 1965 XP Fairmont Sedan and still have them albeit they are currently stuffed into a business sized envelope waiting to be reused on my next car or to anybody who is willing to make me a reasonable GOOD offer of $4,000 to sell so as they can be back where they should be....... on a 1965 or 1966 XP..Price is not a problem for the PERFECT PLATES for the PERFECT CAR

I had XR-84-RD on my AU1 XR8 but too much effort to keep them so i let them go with the car

the missus has TAN-52U (tans2u) when she was a mobile spray tanner but now i have to live with those pink plates on my daily driver and deal with giggles and comments on how much i charge for a spray tan when i drive it

oh and back when my dad was my age he got a Vauxall VX-490 they handed him EVX-489 so he asked for EVX-490 and they gave it to him....he though that was pretty cool

The plates currently on my daily driver bear the same rego number as the first vehicle I ever drove. By happy coincidence it's a Ford!!

The young tacker behind the wheel is my Brother. At the time this photo was taken I was still driving a pram.

We found all these family photos scanned a couple of years ago so my wife bought me these plates.

My family grew up on a dairy farm which later turned to grazing. My Dad passed away in 2011. Mum was obviously unable to manage it so with us siblings long gone the farm was sold and Mum moved into town.

This is just my way of maintaining a connection to the family and the farm which provided for us all.

I'll carry these plates on all my cars until I stop driving. I had thought about putting them on my Coupe but that will more than likely end up on club plates. Hopefully they'll find their way back onto a Ford of some description!!!

1963 must have been a good year for my folks as aside from buying that tractor they also bought an EH Holden. It had rego no HWB-519.

See this the exact reason I took my dads plates when he passed away. Its kind of a connection back to the family

I figure I give the RMS (RTA) enough cash each year without giving them another $99- $440 every year! (plus the $275 order fee)

At those prices I'll be cheap and boring.

I've got XB 35 IC for my 99.9% finished coupe. Work to many hours.
JG 66 XB in storage.
XY 35 IC for a nice shell I got sitting on my parents acreage property.
HO 35 IC because I'm undecided on which ones to keep.

A custom set of plates - on a nice car, just completes the look.

FPV 163 (Tas) were on my BF F6 RSpec when I bought it.

163 FPV (Vic) are on it now. I couldn't get FPV 163 here, so settled for the reverse.

I was gunna get GRIMCE (or similar variation) for my XR6 because it was purple so it got the nickname Grimace.

I've got mine planned for the LTD, just waiting on the $500 to get them, then having to look at them in storage for a while until it's ready for rego.
