Oh and btw, if you plan to display more than one car (which is fine, the more the better), please tell us how many you're bringing and displaying. Just helps us to work out numbers better.

Very true Dave, the AFD is only held every 2 years so we need to make this one great to convince them to make it a yearly event. If all goes to plan this year it will become the main event for FFAU on the Eastern Side of the country, because of where it's held - it's right in the middle of Syd, Melbourne and ACT - pretty much halfway for everybody.

Here's some travel times to get to Wagga for those who are interested:

Wagga from ACT - about 3.5hrs
Wagga from Syd - about 4.5hrs
Wagga from Mel - about 4 hrs
Wagga from Albury - about 1hr

If you've never been to a FFAU meet, dont be afraid! This will be my first ever FFAU meet and I'm organising it! The whole aim is to get as many of us together as possible and have some fun - bring your families etc as it wont all be just cars and car talk, there's plenty to do and we want to accomodate everybody.

I would love to see a Typhoon or 3 and some more GT's/P's on this list. Yuo can be guaranteed a lot of attention with any of these cars because the hot Ford scene isnt all that big here. That's why we need to really impress!

I should add that the cost to display each car will be no more than $10. I havent put up any details of that yet because it hasnt been worked out, but I will guarantee it will be no more than $10 to display your car. I am also working on arranging things so all displaying owners can wash their car free of charge at hillis ford, with carwash etc. supplied. I'll post up details of all of this once it is confirmed.

ALL profits will be going to charity, as per usual with most car shows.

I will cover the 1st 50 AFF cars on the list for entrance fee, regardless of where you are from.

So all you guys will need to do is get yourself on the list, bring the family up with you if need be and make a weekend getaway

Guys I have been holding out on you. I'd love to be there, but I want to be sure the vehicle will be in a condition worthy of being put on display.

Unfortunately, at the moment, it isn't.

Gary that is an incredibly generous offer from you, thankyou a whole lot for doing that. There is now no excuse for people not to be coming!

Proceeds wil be going to a charity, I wont say which one as yet as details have not been finalised. I can guarantee that once the costs are covered, ALL the money raised will be going to this charity. We're not donig this for profit, we're doing it to celebrate the Blue Oval and FFAU and help people out at the same time.

hey just got a few Questions...
i may know a few people (non forum members) interested in attending, with some alright cars, how do they enter? or will that be known later...

also will the previous organisers be involved in anyway, as far as showing their cars and inviting other clubs etc?

also if you want someone to design a flyers/posters or something like that, let me know id be more than happy to knock something up for you

Laminge, that is a very generous offer and for the people debating weather to go or not, it is more inticement for them.

It is all for a good cause, charity, the blue oval, and ffau. What more could people want?

Pete,

If you know of people who want to enter (and this goes for everybody else too), get them to send me an email telling me what kind of car they have and some details about it, as well as their contact details. I'll get back to them ASAP. And yes anybody with a nice Ford is welcome to display - its not just limited to Club or FFAU members.

What the dealership has told me in regards to the previous organisers is that they no longer wish to be involved - how true this is I dont know because I only have contact details for 2 of them who I know actually ARE keen to get involved. Otherwise its unlikely the previous organisers will be involved - they certainly wont be banned from the show or anything like that, but in the way of official capacity, they will have basically none.

The flyer thing is a GREAT Idea, Im going to speak to Active Print about getting some done but if you can come up with a design that'd be awesome. Thinking of including the Minginator on them (with Gary's permission) as it really will be one of the highlights of the show, and obviously all the details i.e date etc. Also include my name (Aust Gregor) as a contact, and my mobile number which is in post #1. Hillis Ford can also be listed as a contact and you can use their logo.
