Rev28K my comment was a bit tongue in cheek, if you read further back in the thread you'll see I said I like the Mito and love the 8C. But comparing the 2 cars in the video doesn't do Alfa or the Mito any favours IMHO.

No worries Jondalar.

My comments came across without the humour I was intending to convey.

We're all car guys here so there shouldn't be many arguments :

There is something so cheap and nasty about alfa's compared to other euro's,and that thing has taken them to a new low.

No hard feelings. I never saw it as a personal attack for the record...

But too many people I talk to (grown up with and met along the way on decent salaries) look at cars and say, "Wow..that car is nice, because others can't afford it."

I've asked them whether they'd ever consider a Ford, it's met with, "Nah, too common, and they're crap", although they've never been in one.

I'm a firm believer in the Falcon being one of the greatest bang-for-buck cars in the world (along with the Commodore too), and I simply am not interested in image or expensive price tags to determine who I am.

But I understand and respect your view. I guess your Alfa is my equivalent of Ford and beyond(I don't have tattoos :P).

So again, no hard feelings. Let's put it down to a misunderstanding.

The 8C is Alfas one exception. All the others look like crap, and the reliability is non existant. Some people get them, others don't. Since Alfa has gone mostly FWD I don't really see the point of them being called sporting, although i've read they are looking at a large RWD platform for a future model, which may be based on the next 300C if the Fiat/Chrysler deal goes ahead.

Reliabilty is non existent? No need to over exaggerate. Last and latest generation Alfa aren't as bad as you say. If you don't keep them maintained then what would you expect. No manufacturer has a 100% reliable car on the market. FWD can be good on small to medium sized cars like the 147 and 156 but your right about them being no good on the big one like the 159.
