I knew there was something better about it. I make no apologies, but generally speaking those 'racoon eyes' are a spoiler on the FG, for me.
Having said that, the final model Falcon is likely to look very different to what's on the magazine cover.

They added graphics and a rear spoiler, and changed the wheels. I seriously doubt the 2014 Falcon will look exactly like a 2013 Taurus SHO.

And the odds of changing the roof of the current Falcon for a model with a 2-year run are as close to 0% as you can get. Changing a roof is very expensive.

The Taurus front seems like a pretty strong rumour.
Perhaps base models to get the Taurus front end and G6E Turbo and XR variants get the Fusion/Mustang front end? Or would that blow the development costs out of the water? |

The render is simple that .... an idea of how the artist thinks how the new model will be. People have gotten too tied up about the new Falcon not being shaped like the Taurus or exactly the same. Personally I like the front end of the Taurus. I think that Ford will have something similar with the front and rear treatment. Roof line and doors will not change. Interior will be evolutionary rather than revolutionary. There will be distinctions between XT, XR, and G6 variants. Pretty keen to see what they come up with.

The "Taurus" front actually started on the Fusion, and it's Ford's current corporate look worldwide. It's definitely a good bet that Falcon will get some version of it.
