Just saw data that Tesla China exported only 60 vehicles in March, sea journey to Australia
is 30-40 days so April shipping will arrive May at the earliest.

For the first three months, Tesla Shanghai has produced 180,000 vehicles.

I wonder if Australian customers are ready to buy Chinese built Fords (provided the plants are willing) if it means more interesting rhd-factory built product, say like this:
https://www.ford.com.cn/suvs/fordallnewexplorer/
I have it on very good authority Chinses built Ford have a very high quality rating within the Ford emprire.

I think it’s worth a shot as there’s a few good looking vehicles in that lot
but I bet Ford could come up with a million reasons why it’s just not possible.
Maybe RHD is a level of added complexity that destroys their plant efficiency…
Tesla looks to have no such impediments, its plant makes 50,000 - 60,000 per month

Considering how many people are buying MG's, then I would say yes they are ready.

Not much different in the scheme of things from people buying South African & US made Benzes & BMWs.
