Agree with this. Not everyone can afford the latest and greatest cars so they make do with what they can.
Who really cares , do what you want with your car, just dont try and sell it as the real deal when its not. You will always have people that will knock a car regardless, as everyone has thier own opinion. :nutsycuck

Kits arent bad as long as you dont go slappen GT badges on it.But what it comes down to, cant afford it, dont copy it.At least us ford boys dont go sticking AU bodykits on EA's,unlike dunnydoor drivers.Nothing better than seeing a shitbox VK with a shitbox VT kit on it.All show,no go....

To Davway you might like to put GT badges on a faker but what i meant was if your car aint a GT dont put badges on it.Nothing wrong with bodykits.good luck finding the gutter..

i see nothing bad about using a KIT on a same model car,i guess the only real point is dont put the badges on though.

cause really the kit i see no problem with as your not really trying to be a gt,but they badges show what the car is thats where i would only see the problem but man i'd get the kit for sure..

kits to me are fine its when ppl debadge their stock cars (there abouts) and rename to a high performance car that they are not is where the problems are.

it doesnt have the stock front bar...it has the X2R addons that make it chunkier...

C2R made this kit to restlye the XR series, and not to replace bumpers on an XT etc (as with the AU kit they made)

the rear and front consists of the add on pieces that u see on each side

GOod on anyone who wants to make their BA look better.
XR's are everywhere, make yours stand out! i would.

ps. BA bodykits on older models are overrated.

I don't like it. My take is that the GT has one real distinguishing feature (to the un-educated) and that is the rear wing. I think having the wing replica's on XR6/8 XT anything only devalues the GT rep???? For eg, the other day I saw an XT STATION WAGON white (Company Car) with bullshit blue "GT" stripes.....come on, where will it stop?

and i hope to god it doesn't stop.
a GT looks great from factory, ppl with less money want their car to look good to.

The car looks great...even the red stock brakes !

Nice touch with the TURBO on the side....certainly would make you look twice in traffic.

Thats a very fair point, but the devaluing bit? Come on, thats trying a bit hard. Anyone who knows anything about them at all is going to realise in about .00004 of a second the difference between an XT with GT wing and a real GT. And they're not going to give a damn if said XT does have a GT wing. If they do, I'd suggest they need to stop worrying about other peoples cars, and enjoy what they've got. Far out, you have a real GT, what more do you want? A ban on all copies? Not going to happen i will tell you now!

People who buy cars and then get worried someone might copy them are going to be in for many a sleepless night.

Btw, just to really shock you - Ford spares will now quite happily sell a Bulge Bonnet to anyone who wants one - even if they own a 6. Happy to report the GT kit is still GT owners only though, but there's only about, oh, 100 other companies that make copies? :

I'm considering a GT front bar now. I looks a hell of a lot more aggressive than an XR8 bar.
