Yup. each to their own. I hav eother priorities. If I get really bored can jsut change the dress rims. it isn't always about "the look" for me although I keep the car in top condition and am certainly an enthusiast. Damn I've seen some good looking rims though .... ;)
Is Bali lookign good for a Holiday this year or will I just wait until the next party further afield?

wow, I done those mods plus more within about 2 weeks of owning my car.

That EB Gli looks awesome, once you start modding it doesn't really matter what your car is, Sunny turned his old S-pack into a fairmont ghia.

Every car in this thread looks better than yours does anyway.

If I had the money, I would do more mods. The simple fact is, I'm a uni student so I don't make much money. Most of the money I make goes into bills and rent. If you don't like my daily driver, then I don't give a rat's ****. It's got straight panels, good paint and an immaculate interior. I reckon those are far more important than low rideheight. I've preferred to spend money on replacing broken components (like I replaced the rear bumper, all the front panels, fuel door, damaged dash, had some rust cut out, and had those sections painted, etc.) to make it look like new. The money I spent on that could have covered the cost of lowering it, but I prefer a tidy car with 4WD rideheight than a lowered sh!theap full of dints, rust and so on. It's my car and I like it. If you don't, then so be it. At least mine's all one colour

The stockies look only really works if the car is really dumped.

And by stockies I mean stock EF-EL steel wheels, aka chasers. Not factory alloys, which all look pretty crap.

Then why are you having a go at other peoples cars if you can't take it? You can dish it out but you can't take it can you.

I'm also a uni student, and only earn $10 an hour it's all about money management. As soon as my car is back on the road it's going in to get the damaged panel painted, it's not that I can't afford it. After this turbo setup is done i'm getting started on the body, not like it's bad anyway but like you i'd rather not have any small dents either.

But in the end it'll still be a 1988 falcon, I don't really worry about those sorts of things too much.

I didn't have a go at anyone's cars (except for your paint scheme, but that's because you had a go at mine), just the wheels. I hate stockies. If I saw an Aston Martin DB9 with stockies, doesn't mean I'd hate the car, just the wheels. I didn't refer to any of those cars as ugly. I like good condition e-series. I just think those wheels spoil the appearance.

I hadn't been working in a while, so my funds were running dry. $10 an hour is a lot better than the $0 an hour I was making. I got about $2000 at the start of the semester, but that had to last me to the end. With $390 a month rent, that is real money management. Also I was thinking about lowering it, but then the head gasket went, and the steering rack started leaking. A lot of money went into them.

I've just started some casual work though, which is why I'm starting to plan some mods. After these exams, I'm hoping to work 5 days a week. If the work is steady enough, the car will be lowered, and some other mods will take place.

further attemps to bag peoples cars will result in action taken.
take it to PM's if you've got issues with each other.

It works best if the car is otherwise mint as well.

A **** heap will always look like a **** heap. Stockies or not.

This is why Sunny's and John's cars look the goods on stockies.
