Default loss of power on VCT

Hi Guys,

Got around getting the car "so called" dyno tuned a few weeks back and the results to say the least have been questionable.
The car has been fitted with cold air intake 3"pigppipe Advance headers 2.5 full exhaust and has put out 135.6kw last year.
A week after the car got tuned my auto retired and now i have to replace the CAT as its rattling but jeez you dont loose that much power.
Scenario is mate of mine has a EL 4.0 just with Pacemaker comps and exhaust but he also had dyno tuned and the cars used to be even now he just leaves me behind.

Get the A/F mixture measured on a dyno. The AU motor has a nasty habit of killing MAP sensors making the car run extremely rich and losing a heap of power.

So where are these map sensors located as ill go and get one tommorow from wreckers and do a test and take it from there.

Dont have much faith in dyno tuners these days they are like banks they take youre money and dont care if anything happens afterwards.

Its located under the intake butterfly.
As for the dyno, its only to see if the A/F is horrendously rich (like 10:1). Unless you have an edit the AU cant be "tuned" all that much anyhow as you know.

Yeah Edit has been long time coming and cant wait either anyhow ill go and see what the ratio is tommorow and if its close to 10:1 that would be my problem.

Then get the stuffed factory cat with nice high flow item.

a stuffed cat sure wont help, I noticed a massive (MASSIVE) difference when I replaced my stocko fkd one with a bigger new one - if its blocked up, it will create problems, I remember mine used to glow bright red at night!

ofcourse if your auto is letting go, its only going to compound the issue even more
