Dumping where? Before the diff or in the normal spot (ie at the back of the rear bar)?

Here's my old XR8 with twin 3" "dump" tips:

dump tips are so hard to get to sit right on a Au, the tail bit of the exhaust system is crap shape, i went to popular exhaust shop and he couldnt put twin tips and get em to sit properly because it wwas to hard, 1hr later i said put a single 3.5inch dumper and be done with it.

I got mine to sit right (IMO) - and just with an angle grinder and muffler putty and a couple of rivets.

I don't think dumpers suit the AU shape very well but it depends if they are on a car with a rear bodykit of some sort or not. My straight twin 2.5 inch with rolled edges tucks in under my bumper nicely.

yeah there is not enuff space between the bumper and the exhaust, and when you cut the exhaust back to make room you end up hitting the stupid little bend next to the tyre whell which throws the tips out of alignment, you need a custom exhaist setup to do it properly, i was in the work shop trying to help the guy and still u couldnt get em on properly they stick out to far.

I've got a pic of the back of my car in my sig. Thats twin 3 inch pipes into twin 3 inch tips. Mines a seires 3 XR8 but hence the different rear bar. The 3 inch pipes are a pain but the tips sit sweet IMO.

Thanks for all the pics guys. Looks like the only way i'll get it t olook good is with the s3 xr rear bar. oh well, looks like i'll just have to get a nice single pipe. Any recommendations as to where to pick one up on the cheap?

Yeah cheers blackers. I think havin the 3 inch pipes and the after market exaust gave me a bit more flexabilitly as to were i could place them and they turned out wicked. Pitty the exaust is coming off very soon for a new one and some major mods...
