Pretty common intake mod without making any drastic changes you will probably find most on here who have the standard CAI have fitted this larger snorkel. Getting more air in can only be a good thing in but don't expect massive power changes, you will more than likely not notice a thing. You would also have to be doing massive km's to save $15 fuel a week as the ad suggests

Most on ebay go for $35 though so look around, you should be able to get one for about $30 from Ford and save yourself the postage.

as suggested go to ford spare parts and get the Tickford intake, i bought mine a few years back for $32 so I doubt they will be over forty and you will save on postage aswell....I put headers and a new exhaust on at the same time as I put the intake on and gained 12rwkw .

Bigger intakes done properly all add up to more power and efficiency. Put it this way your car is not going to lose power putting one of these on but I doubt you will feel any gains either they will be that small. For $40 it won't hurt and I don't think it's a waste of money. Otherwise if you are serious about gaining power from an intake you need to look at something along the lines of what G&D offer.

Where would you find a G&D intake? From G&D. They are a site sponsor. Their CAI is around the $600 mark, and by itself you will not pick up much power, but with an edit, then you can make the most of the extra air and it's definitely worth it.

when i fitted the xr6t snorkel i noticed an improvment in throttle responce..also, at the time i was travelling to brissy and back a few times a week (600km round trip..my wife and i were doin IVF) and noticed a fair improvement in fuel economy. ]

you may not neccessarily notice the economy change unless you have a particular trip which is always fairly similar-ie. traffic, temperature.
