Default FPV Insurance

What model FPV do you have, what type of insurance and what do you pay.

Just renewed my policy on a 2006 FPV GT with Suncorp - $708.80 for full comp, market value.

2005 BA Mk2 GT

$1,900 with AAMI and $550 excess which was the cheapest I could get

I'm 45 with no prior claims and clean driving record so can't understand some of the low premiums some of you guys are being quoted.

Live in a reasonable area and car is garaged

I am also with just car insurance and I just turned 23.
My BF Tornado is just over 1600 bucks a year, and that is the BEST price i can get, But looking into doing this new AD Just thing with them to lower the premium, but pay more excess. I hardly drive the car, so its all good!

WOW!
Ok check this out....
I just got off the phone to Just Car Insurance, I asked them a few questions and they said Upon renewal of my policy in May, I will be up for over $3000 excess for this car in the event i stack it, or would like to make a claim, as apposed to the $1600 I would face at the moment.
When I first bought the car, the chick on the phone was saying how not many people have this type of vehicle, and how low the claims have been, hence the cheaper premium etc.
So what has happened in the last 6 months, have FPV drivers lost the plot or something?!

Shop around guys. And don't be afraid to ask "is that the best that you can do?"

I did that Suncorp here in Qld. And by putting my car, the wife's car and both CTP's on with Suncorp I saved around 25%. It is worth asking and asking....

no, hoons who now have 32k a year jobs can afford one on finance...
its cheaper to wreck it then it is to pay back the loan :(

It use to be in the 1980's that if your under 21yo is expensive
During the 90's it creaps up to 30's thats a risk
Now in the 21 century if your under 40 your gone

This is my thoughts on the matter but to me its just going on the generation and following you in age
