unscrew the two screws covered by clips at the top of the cluster.

i use to put allen keys in the holes to get some leverage to pry the cluster out.

unplug looms at back of cluster

disassemble cluster, clear lens comes off first, then the black frame thing.

pry off needles with a fork.

peel off standard fascia

place silver fascia on

then needles, then put the rest back together then back in the car.

not much of a tutorial but i hope it covers everything lol

get the cluster out - easiest way is to pull out the blank panel underneath the cluster where the fuel door button is on a sedan (yours is a ute so you wont have it, you just have a black panel)

use a big long screwdriver to get behind the cluster and prise it out, if you havent done it before it will take a while but it will come out - just shove screwdriver through the hole you've found and prise it out. can also use a screwdriver at the very top of the cluster to pull it backwards towards you but be careful not to break it

once you have cluster out, unplug the looms, there is one at either side of the back of the cluster, should now be able to take entire unit out of dash

2 big screws in the top of the instrument cluster ( you can see them, just 2 big black dots - pull those off and you can get to the screws), undo the screws and the front clear fascia will come off, from there you can access the needles - need to pull these off, then you can lift off the blue background and fit the silver one.

put it all back together and installation obviously reverse of removal

Yep Series 1 was black and they all have "x1000" underneath the Tickford wings
