I have a focus zetec R with the 17" factory rims, can anybody tell me the width of the rim?? or what the largest width tyre is that I can put on??

From what I know I believe it's a 17X7 inch Rim. Do you have an Owner's Manual? If you do you'll find info in the 'Tyres' section. Failing that there's info on the inside of the Glove Box Lid.

Laws on wheel size are dependant on state, but the general rule is no more than 1" wider, and rolling diameter can't change by around 2cm.

It is a 17x7 rim size, standard tyre size is 215/45/17
The widest you could fit is 225/45/17 but you may get rubbing with a full car load

They are a 17x7. Mine came with 205/50/17, but now have 215/45/17 on them.

Hi melbzetec,
I am in Perth. Yer the car is nice, just needs more power!! I dont like the current 5 door shape so the xr5 is a no go. Do like the 3 door, my brother has one in the UK.... but alas no 3 door or RS for us.... Brothers car: Thanks for all the replys. |
