Hey guys,
The clutch in my ute is about as late as any sydeny train. Anyonoe got any idea how to adjust the clutch on a 5 speed manual on an XR8 AU ute. I ahve tried the main nut near the firewall, but all that does is move the throw of the pedal, and then it won't disengage properly as it needs a certain amount on push. |

If your not getting the clutch to start disengaging until the pedal is on the floor or just about then move that nut up the thread toward the fire wall. as you do it keep checking the take up point. When the take up is about an inch off the floor it should be right and if the clutch is slipping at that point then I'd start to look at the clutch as itself.
Start by backing the nut right away from the fire wall and then gently pull on the cable pulling it through until you feel the slack taken up and move the nut right up to meet the wall. This is a good starting point. nut backs away to lower the pedal take up point and moves up toward the wall to raise the pedal take up point. I hope this helps you.
