Hi all,
My name is Nat. Ive been lerking around the forum for a couple of months now watching my partners build threads, Jase, (CRYHSV) along with other things, I didnt want to do a formal intro until I could have a great car to bring to the table.. Couple of weeks ago I purchased an AU Falcon from a fellow Forum member who I wont mention for his privacy. Now initially my partner told me about this car before I ever saw it, and all I heard him say was "AU", at that point as far as I was concerned the Conversation was over. Ive never been big on the AU's unlike Jase, he in recent times has become very "emotional" towards them. Well a couple of months back now, Jase and I where having lunch in Port Botany where we bumped into this forum member and his girlfriend. We ended up coasting back home together side by side in Jase's EL and this AU, going though General Holmes Dr under the tunnel, I heard this thing open up all 8 cylinders. At that point I was sold and within a fornight picked it up and its now in our posession. The car performance wise is fine for me and I definatly do not require more power. Looks wise Id like to do a few things to it. Just to give it a subtle look. Id like to eventually add a series III body kit on it and also repray it to the AU's Gun Metel grey colour. It has red leather interior in it which I dont have pics of but will get eventually. Sorry for the long winded thread guys and happy to be apart of what Jase seems to be addicted too. Here are some the mods. Vortech V2 Blower 2.75" pully 8 rib PWR FMIC 610cc injectors (61 pound) 255l/hr Walbro Intank fuel pump BTR rebuilt 4 speed Auto 232/238 Cam 9:1 comp ratio Custom main girdle Custom oil sump Hi Volume oil pump MW CDI Ignition Vipec V88 EMS Zenetti Kaotic 18" wheels 5/5 high flow cats Try-Y pacemaker extractors Lowered on King Springs K-Mac Trickflow lower and upper manifold 3" Full exhaust 347 stroker. Good to see ya here Nat...!!
At least you don't have to upgrade to be in the challenge with Jase in the power competition, yet.... and by the way, i'd suggest you use photobucket, and then use the "IMG" tags

Thanks For the Welcome and tips xrghiawagon! (And all)
And I am barely ahead in the power struggle so far but Jase is not far behind. Sweetheart, if I change my signature I'd be lying. I am yet to get Jase to properly show me how to navigate around here but none the less I am looking forward to adding more picture and getting to know everyone's cars

Your right. But it will give her a reason to buy a new FG SC. I fought tooth and nail for her to not have one.
Im just happy to have another mighty Windsor in the family. Gives me the warm and fuzzies. You know your pushing crap uphill when use are arguing about the better car and my only card I can pull out is the fact I have a Sunroof! Lol

It's not so much the engine, but the transmission....
edit: too late, haha... um Jase & Nat, any plans to upgrade in the power department on this one before a Dart block is ordered...?

The AU will be getting some cosmetic upgrades first then power upgrades. e.g. a re-spray (maybe Gun Metal Grey), raised a tiny bit as it is a little bit too low and it makes it scary going over bump and I don't want to rip out my sump, and maybe a brake upgrade as she still has standard brakes. Also, there is around 5 xr8 badges on the exterior that I want off, 3 stock ones and 2 on the side skirts are the B series badges from the previous owner and it is a bit of an over kill for me. I would also love to put a AU III body kit on it, as I have always had a soft spot for them, this will have to take a lot of sourcing though. Hopefully I find one before the re-spray to make it easier and cheaper.
