Hey guys, I'm in the midst of buying some wheels from a forum member here and I was wondering how would I go about organising freight, unfortunately everyone who has approached me is from interstate.
Would they just have to pack each wheel into a separate box, weigh them and get dimensions and I contact a freight company to tell them I need 4 boxes shipped from this address, to another, tell them the weight and dimensions of the boxes and away we go? Which company would you suggest also? |

ive used e-go.com.au shipped 4 rims on a pallet for around 60bux melb to Sydney overnight , i just shrink wrapped them to the pallet, they expect a forklift at both ends if its over 50kg but the guy that picked mine up just gave me a help to lift it

i bought 2 BA XR8 18s last year from vic (in on the nsw central coast) and it cost me $50 postage and they turned up in an australia post van...wraped in (seperatly) heaps of bubble wrap and then what looked like orange garbage bags...
so you can send them through the post.. |

It is basically as you said Damo. Check out e-go.com.au or smartsend.com.au. I have used both quite a few times and have never had a problem. It is very easy as both have online quoting. Keep in mind e-go charge a little more for insurance than smartsend.

i brought a set from jc last year, were wrapped in plastic and cardboard over the faces to stop scratchin. he organised it and think it was tnt. arrived quick and great nick ( thanks jc)

if they are just the rims the seller could go ask the local wheel shop if they have any cardboard boxes they could have.
