Hi,
This is purely to see what the results would be in a vote. What would you look at out of these two great products, I'll let you know the differences below: Mondeo Zetec Ecoboost Hatch (front wheel drive) $33,990 d/a built in Belgium
Falcon G6 Limited Ecoboost Sedan (rear wheel drive) $36,490 d/a built in Australia

Voted Mondeo because features.
The FWD/RWD argument now means **** to me. And I can get used to the indicators on the left issue (yes, this is an issue to some buyers).

Mondeo got my vote.
For me it seems to be better value for money.

I'd go the Mondeo Titanium which adds radar cruise control, blind spot, lane departure, heated seats and other tech as well. Voted for the Mondeo Zetec as the closest proxy for what I'd go for.

And what if we got the Mondeo with the optional 177kW/339Nm 2.0Litre EcoBoost that's available in Europe?

Falcon... Hard to change someone whos had so many of them... I would buy a G6E tho, not a G6 LE (ugly wheels).

I'd actually go for the Falcon. The camera, touch screen and leather would seal the deal for me. The Mondeo is a fantastic car, but needs to be the Titanium or diesel model to get me interested in what is otherwise a fairly common style/size/offering. The Falcon is Aussie, and I like it for that reason.

Hard choice ... as I was looking at Mondeo's previously as well.
I'd need to drive both (and not just a test drive) to make my decision.

Would you voters who went Falcon consider driving the Mondeo first before making your choice?

People voting for the G6E seem to forget what Luxury cars are all about ... They are after all about Luxury and Quality first and foremost, other aspects such as performance are secondary ....
When looking at the Mondeo its clearly hands down more Luxurious than the Falcon, and guess I say better built (my FG XR6 is nothing to write home about when it comes to built quality with all the uneven panels and squaling from a few bits here and there) ... and when looking at the 2013 Modeo it clearly makes the G6E look very very outdated. |

I voted the Mondeo purely on the level of equipment, and resale value. The fact that it's cheaper than the Falcon is a bonus.

I spent 2 weeks driving a manual diesel mondeo around europe and was so glad to get out of that snot bucket and back into our falcon when we got home. Every one goes on about the mondeo being better build quality but I cant see it. Id choose the falcon and if falcon dies I would choose one of the 100 other models in mondeos class before i buy a mondeo.
P.S. I think they look wrong/old...something about them doesnt work for me. |

If Ford could get the EB Falcon's weight closer to Mondeo, it would make Mondeo redundant
and that would also turn quite a few senior and influential heads around in Dearborn....... |

Tech can be added via accessing CD4 electrical modules, styling is changing so next Mondeo and 2014 falcon will look similar.. |

I'd go falcon, no brainier for me.
An extra $2.5k for supporting local manufacturers is a small price to pay, especially when you also get a nice roomy rwd sedan as well. Tech is great, but in all honesty my XR8 is a Povo pack one and there's really nothing I feel I'm missing out on. Leather and premium sound would make it near perfect for me. G6 would do me quite nicely. |

Heart:
It screams falcon, the traditional RWD setup. Support Australia! Brain: Mondeo...its hard to argue with the Specs/price...clear winner.
